At the heart of pastoral work is the proclamation of Scriptural truths. Expository preaching and teaching sound doctrine are vital in safeguarding against potential missteps. The pulpit is a powerful platform for presenting the beauty, truth, and hope of the Gospel, inviting faith, repentance, and a complete reliance on Christ. Pastors are charged with nurturing unity, maturity, and reflecting God's character in their congregation, continually reorienting church life around Kingdom priorities.
In this video, we call pastors back to their core calling: dedication to Scripture, humility, and advancing Christ's Kingdom. Congregations must also cultivate discernment and hold leaders accountable. May pulpit stewardship be taken ever more seriously across the global Church. As we uphold these biblical standards, let's nurture a culture where pulpit ministry consistently honors Christ and serves His people with truth and hope.
(This is not specific to T.D. Jakes or Mike Bickle, etc but to the global body of Christ and a possibly tradition going back to early AoG roots.)
